Jack hails from his hometown of Kettering where he as represented Kettering Town Harriers since his entry into the sport back in 2009. The Masters of Sport & Exercise Science student first joined James Thie and the group in 2016 during his first year at Cardiff Metropolitan University, he has also got involved in a coaching capacity in recent times by assisting the group with strength & conditioning sessions.
The Kettering Town runners career started off by running cross country and track in his early years with his specialist distances being the 800m and 1500m. When Jack went up the age groups, he switched his focus to the steeplechase where he would go on to finish 4th in 2014 at the UK School Games in the 1500m Steeplechase and then 4th at English Schools 2000m Steeplechase in 2016. Since joining TeamThie, Jack has placed 9th in the 3000m Steeplechase at BUCS, ran 31:42 for 10k and has also improved his 3000m mark down to 8:32. Jack has set his future sights on running more 5k and 10k’s, he will also look to step up the Half Marathon in the near future too.
